Title 16 › Chapter 25— JELLYFISH OR SEA NETTLES, OTHER SUCH PESTS, AND SEAWEED IN COASTAL WATERS: CONTROL OR ELIMINATION › § 1202
The Secretary can work with the States and Puerto Rico to study jellyfish and similar pests, find where they are and how they harm fish, shellfish, and water recreation, test control methods, run programs to control or remove pests and floating seaweed, and take other needed actions. Costs must be shared equally by the Federal Government and the States and Puerto Rico, whether they act together or separately.
