Title 16 › Chapter 30— WILD HORSES AND BURROS: PROTECTION, MANAGEMENT, AND CONTROL › § 1340
After thirty calendar months following December 15, 1971, and every twenty-four calendar months after that, the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture must send Congress a joint report summarizing actions taken, enforcement efforts, costs, and any recommended steps. They must consult, coordinate their departments’ activities, and may study wild free-roaming horses and burros’ habits as needed.
