Title 16 › Chapter 32A— REGIONAL MARINE RESEARCH PROGRAMS › § 1447f
Provides $18,000,000 each fiscal year for 1992 through 1996 to run the program. Each year up to $500,000 may be set aside for NOAA and EPA to administer it. After that, the rest can pay Boards’ administrative costs for Boards established under section 1447b(a), but no Board may get more than $300,000 per year. Of the remaining funds, 75% is split equally among Boards in regions that submit research grant applications under section 1447d(b), and 25% goes to those Boards that the NOAA Administrator, after talking with the EPA Administrator, finds propose the most needed and highest-quality research.
