Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter XXII— LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK › § 204
The United States controls land in Lassen Volcanic National Park that was included on April 26, 1928, or added later. California can still serve legal papers and bring civil or criminal cases in the park for matters that began outside it, tax people and businesses on park land, and set fishing licenses. Park residents may vote in county elections. Federal laws for lands under sole U.S. control apply in the park, and people who flee the law and hide there are treated the same as if found elsewhere in California.
