The Secretary of the Interior may accept full ownership of a 10-acre piece of land next to Lassen Volcanic National Park described as the west half of the west half of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section 30, township 30 north, range 6 east, Mount Diablo base and meridian. In exchange, the Secretary may give the landowner title to a 10-acre parcel inside the park described as the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 30, township 30 north, range 6 east, Mount Diablo base and meridian. Once the United States accepts the outside tract, it becomes part of the park, and the exchanged parcel is removed from the park when the patent is issued.
