Title 16 › Chapter 46— PUBLIC UTILITY REGULATORY POLICIES › Subchapter II— STANDARDS FOR ELECTRIC UTILITIES › § 2626
State regulators and nonregulated electric utilities must report to the Secretary on how they considered the standards in sections 2621(d) and 2623(b). The first reports are due within one year after November 9, 1978, and then once a year for ten years. Each report must list the decisions and actions taken for each utility. Within 18 months after November 9, 1978, and then yearly for ten years, the Secretary must send the President and Congress a summary and analysis of those reports, describe the Secretary’s actions under the law, and recommend any needed federal steps or laws about retail electric rates and related practices.
