Title 16 › Chapter 49— FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION › § 2901
Provides money and technical help to states so they can make, update, and carry out plans to protect nongame fish and wildlife (species not hunted or fished) and their habitats. Says fish and wildlife matter for nature, learning, beauty, culture, recreation, the economy, and science. Better conservation will help restore wildlife and improve the environment. Many people, especially in cities, lack chances to connect with wildlife. Hunting and fishing fees alone don’t pay for protecting nongame species. Federal agencies are urged to use their authority to help conserve these species and their habitats.
