Title 16 › Chapter 51— ALASKA NATIONAL INTEREST LANDS CONSERVATION › Subchapter II— SUBSISTENCE MANAGEMENT AND USE › § 3123
The Secretary must, with the Secretary of Agriculture, prepare and send a report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House within four years after December 2, 1980, and every three years after that. The report must evaluate the monitoring called for in section 3116; describe the status of fish and wildlife on public lands used for subsistence; explain the kinds and extent of subsistence and other uses; say how subsistence affects rural Alaska’s economy and culture; include comments from the State and the local and regional advisory councils under section 3115 and other groups; list actions taken or needed to allow subsistence activities to continue; and offer any other recommendations the Secretary finds appropriate.
