§3325 Authorization of Appropriations

Summary

Allows money to be spent for salmon and steelhead improvement projects, including running and maintaining enhancement facilities. It lets the government spend up to $45,000,000 over the ten-year period beginning on October 1, 1982 for the Washington conservation area and up to $25,000,000 over the same ten-year period for the Columbia River conservation area for salmon work. In addition to those sums, it allows up to $7,000,000 for steelhead projects for the Washington area and up to $7,000,000 for steelhead projects for the Columbia River area, each for the ten-year period beginning on October 1, 1982. None of the money allowed above can be used to operate or maintain enhancement programs or related facilities in the same form they were in on or before the date the Secretary approved that conservation area’s enhancement plan.
