§3342 Annual Status Reports on Programs; Monitoring

Title 16 › Chapter 52— SALMON AND STEELHEAD CONSERVATION AND ENHANCEMENT › Subchapter V— MISCELLANEOUS › § 3342

Last updated Apr 5, 2026|Official source

Summary

Washington, Oregon, and the tribal coordinating bodies must send an annual report to the appropriate Secretary about how the programs under this chapter are doing, or any other report that the Secretary asks for. Eighteen months after the Salmon and Steelhead Advisory Commission’s report is approved, the Secretary of Commerce must set up a system that keeps checking whether the management program in that report is being carried out effectively. If, after that system is running, the Secretary finds either that the number of parties referred to in section 3314 has dropped so much the program can’t be carried out, or that the program is not being carried out effectively, the Secretary may note those findings.
