§3344 Construction with Other Laws

Keeps federal, state, and tribal power, duties, and rights to manage natural resources, water, underwater land, and navigable waters, and does not limit Congress’s ability to approve or pay for projects. It also does not replace or change any other existing laws that apply, unless this section specifically says otherwise.

Title 16, §3344

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed—
(1)to diminish Federal, State, or tribal jurisdiction, responsibility, or rights in the field of resource enhancement and management, or control of water resources, submerged lands, or navigable waters; nor to limit the authority of Congress to authorize and fund projects; or
(2)as superseding, modifying, or repealing any existing applicable law, except as provided for in this section.
