Beginning October 1, 1981, up to $5,000,000 is available to the Commerce Secretary for Oregon fisheries ports. Funds must fund projects proposed by state or local governments, tribes, or nonprofits and approved by Oregon after consulting federal fisheries and economic agencies, when practical fit Public Works and Economic Development Act planning. Funds cannot fund navigational changes and remain available until spent.
