Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter XXXVIII— ZION NATIONAL PARK › § 346a–3
The Secretary of the Interior can transfer about four and one-half acres in lot 3, section 29, township 38 south, range 12 west, Salt Lake meridian to the Utah State Road Commission on terms he finds necessary so the Commission can realign and build U.S. Highway 91. In return, Utah must build an interchange, of a design and at a location the Secretary approves, that gives vehicle access between the highway and Zion National Park. Once the land is transferred, it is removed from Zion National Park, and the easterly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 91, identified as project I–01–1(1), Washington County, Utah, becomes the park’s westerly boundary in that lot.
