§3640 Administrative Matters

Summary

Pay Commissioners and Alternate Commissioners who are not State or Federal employees at the daily GS–18 rate when they do work for the U.S. Section or the Commission. Pay Panel Members and Alternate Panel Members who are not State or Federal employees at the daily GS–16 rate when they do that work. Pay travel and other necessary expenses for U.S. Commissioners, Alternate Commissioners, Panel Members, Alternate Panel Members, Joint Technical Committee members, and Advisory Committee members while they are doing that work. Except for U.S. government officials, those people are not treated as Federal employees while doing this work, except they are covered for injury compensation and tort claims under chapter 81 of title 5 and chapter 71 of title 28.
