Title 16 › Chapter 60— FISH AND SEAFOOD PROMOTION › § 4008
Creates a Fisheries Promotional Fund in the U.S. Treasury to pay for the National Council’s yearly marketing and promotion plan and budget, when Congress provides the money. The Fund gets three kinds of deposits: money moved under section 713c–3(b)(2) of title 15, voluntary payments under section 4007 of this title, and earnings from investments. Money not needed right away must be kept in interest-bearing Treasury accounts or invested in U.S. obligations. Any interest or investment income goes back into the Fund. For fiscal years 1987 through 1991, amounts deposited under subsection (b) may be appropriated to carry out the Council’s annual plan and budget.
