Park officers can take any guns, traps, nets, fishing gear, teams, horses, or vehicles used to illegally kill, trap, or capture birds, fish, or animals inside the park. Those items can be kept while the person is prosecuted, and if the person is found guilty in court, the items can be taken by the United States as an extra penalty on top of other punishments. The Secretary of the Interior must handle and account for the taken property, but the court may decide whether to take teams, horses, or other transportation.
