The Secretary must create an Advisory Commission of no more than 15 members to advise on a new or revised comprehensive management plan for Death Valley National Park. The commission must include an elected official from each county with park land, a nearby private landowner, representatives of grazing and mineral interests, and experts in science and law enforcement. Vacancies are filled to keep a mix of views, the rules in chapter 10 of Title 5 govern how it works, and the commission ends 10 years after it is created.
