§410bbb–4 General Management Plan

Summary

The Secretary must, within three years after the money is provided and at the same time as the national landmark study, work with the New Orleans Jazz Commission to create a general management plan for the historical park. The plan must cover seven areas: a visitor use plan showing what programs and facilities will be open to the public; preservation and use plans for buildings and sites the landmark study includes; the location and cost of public facilities, including a visitor center; programs the Secretary will run or support through partnerships; a transportation plan for visitor access to park sites and programs; a plan to set up archives for important jazz materials; and guidelines for using cooperative agreements to help manage park facilities and programs.
