§410ffff–3 Acquisition of Real and Personal Property and Services

Summary

The Secretary can get land, buildings, and related items for the historical park by donation, trade, or by buying them with donated or government money. Land or buildings owned by the State of Connecticut can be obtained only if they are donated. The Secretary can also acquire personal objects needed to explain and show the park using the same methods. Artwork tied to the Weir family, J. Alden Weir, or other artists who lived at or visited the site can only be accepted as donations or bought with donated money. The Secretary can accept and use donated money, property, and services to carry out these actions.
