The Secretary of the Interior must run the park under the laws that apply to national parks, including the 1916 National Park Service Act and the 1935 Act. The Secretary can acquire land inside the park by donation, purchase with donated or appropriated funds, or exchange, and can accept and keep donations of money, property, or services from private or public sources to provide park services and facilities. The Secretary must treat Guevavi, Calabazas, and Tumacacori as three separate park units and use materials and other tools to highlight the role of Jesuit missionary Father Eusebio Francisco Kino in the missions and settlement of the area.
