The Secretary of the Interior may make cooperative agreements with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, its local governments, corporations, associations, or private individuals to preserve and explain historic sites, buildings, and properties along the route(s) where important events happened on April 18 and 19, 1775 in Boston, Cambridge, Medford, Somerville, and the towns of Arlington, Brookline, Concord, Lexington, and Lincoln, including the area between Fiske Hill and the North Bridge described in section 410s. The Secretary may also put up and care for tablets or markers under the Act of August 21, 1935 (49 Stat. 666).
