The Secretary of the Interior can take gifts of land, parts of land, buildings, structures, other property, and money for use inside the national monument’s official boundaries. The ownership papers must meet the Secretary’s approval. If land is needed to finish the monument, he may buy it with donated funds at prices he thinks are reasonable, or, if not, get it by condemnation under section 3113 of title 40.
