Title 16 › CHAPTER 1 — NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › SUBCHAPTER LIX–X — SAGUARO NATIONAL PARK › § 410zz–2
Expands the park boundaries to add about 3,460 acres shown on the map called "Saguaro National Monument Additions" dated April, 1994, and about 1,152 acres shown on the map called "Saguaro National Park Proposed Boundary Adjustment" (map number 151/80,045G, dated December 2020). The December 2020 map will be kept on file and available at National Park Service offices. Allows the Secretary to get land inside the new boundaries by donation, purchase (with donated or appropriated money), transfer, or exchange. The Secretary cannot take land without the owner's permission unless the land is being or will be developed in a way that harms the park. The Secretary can acquire State of Arizona land with the State's consent and under federal and state law; if the State will not transfer it, the Secretary can make an agreement to manage that State land. Federal lands inside the park are withdrawn from public land claims, mining claims, and mineral or geothermal leasing and mineral materials uses, except for any valid existing rights.
