§4266 Authorization of Appropriations

Summary
$5,000,000 is provided to the Fund for each fiscal year 2025 through 2029 to carry out this chapter, and that money can remain available until it is spent. Each year, from the funds available for this chapter, the Secretary can use up to 3 percent or $100,000 (whichever is greater) to pay necessary administrative costs.

(a)There is authorized to be appropriated to the Fund $5,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029 to carry out this chapter, which may remain available until expended.
(b)Of amounts available each fiscal year to carry out this chapter, the Secretary may expend not more than 3 percent or $100,000, whichever is greater, to pay the administrative expenses necessary to carry out this chapter.
