§430h–14 Vicksburg National Military Park

Summary

The Secretary of the Interior may acquire land or rights in land inside the "Modified Core Battlefield" areas for the Port Gibson, Champion Hill, and Raymond Units shown on the map titled "Vicksburg National Military Park—Proposed Battlefield Additions", number 306/100986A (4 sheets), dated July 2012. That map will be kept on file and available for public inspection at National Park Service offices. Land can be gained by donation, purchase with donated or appropriated funds, or exchange. Land owned by the State of Mississippi or its political subdivisions may only be accepted by donation. Any land the Secretary acquires this way must be added to Vicksburg National Military Park, the park boundary must be changed, and the land must be managed as part of the park under applicable laws and rules.
