Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter LX— NATIONAL MILITARY PARKS › § 430h–6
The Secretary of the Interior may add two pieces of land to Vicksburg National Military Park. One is approximately 2.5 acres in Madison Parish, Louisiana (the Grant’s Canal property) that can be bought, exchanged, or donated. The other is approximately 2.82 acres next to the park entrance owned by Warren County, Mississippi and may be donated. Under an agreement with the county board, the Secretary can pay cash or provide services to move and build a replacement maintenance facility and can restore and landscape the acquired land. After the lands are acquired, the Secretary must publish notice in the Federal Register and change the park boundary to include them.
