The Secretary of the Interior can acquire land or land rights inside the area described in section 430uu–1 by donation, purchase, trade, or other means. Any land in that area that was part of the Beaverhead National Forest on May 17, 1963, is removed from the forest and added to the Big Hole National Battlefield, and those lands must be managed under the law that created the National Park Service (Act approved August 25, 1916), as later changed.
