Up to $25,000 is taken from unused U.S. Treasury funds to finish a monument to the soldiers who died at the Battle of New Orleans. The work must be done under the Secretary of the Army’s approval. Louisiana must give up control of the land under Act No. 41 (approved July 19, 1902). When the monument is done, the United States will keep it up and may provide more money for that.
