The President can set aside certain federal land as the Coronado National Memorial to permanently honor Francisco Vásquez de Coronado. The memorial would be in the Gila and Salt River meridian, covering specific parts of Township 24 South, Range 20 East (parts of sections 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23, and 24) and Township 24 South, Range 21 East (parts of sections 17, 18, 19, and section 20 including lots 3 and 4), totaling about 2,880 acres. Any valid existing legal rights on the land would remain in effect.
