Creates the Golden Gate National Recreation Area Advisory Commission. The Secretary appoints 18 members to five‑year terms. Members appointed or reappointed after January 1, 1979 must have terms extended so they do not end before June 1, 1985. Vacancies are filled the same way. Members are unpaid, but the Secretary may reimburse reasonable expenses if the Chairman signs the voucher. The Secretary or a designee must meet the Commission at least once a year to advise on planning, administration, and development for the recreation area and other national park units in Marin, San Mateo, and San Francisco Counties. The Commission acts by majority vote and will end thirty years after October 27, 1972.
