Title 16 › CHAPTER 1 — NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › SUBCHAPTER LXIX — OUTDOOR RECREATION PROGRAMS › Part E — Reclamation Recreation Management › § 460l–33
The Secretary, through the Commissioner of Reclamation, can set reasonable fees for filing applications, for recreation, and for using Reclamation lands. The Secretary must write rules needed to run these fees, to carry out the law about Reclamation lands (including section 460l–34), to protect public safety and comfort, and to protect the land and its resources. The Secretary must keep a public inventory of Reclamation land resources and uses, mark and map land boundaries when needed, and make records available to the public. The Secretary can make, update, and revise resource management plans that follow other laws, are made with other agencies, with the project beneficiaries (as identified by the Secretary), and with public input. Plans must guide use, conservation, and protection in ways that fit the project’s purposes. Money spent under this part may not be repaid under the Federal Reclamation laws (the Act of June 17, 1902 (32 Stat. 388, chapter 1093; 43 U.S.C. 371), and related acts).
