The Secretary of the Interior must keep running the national recreation area under the rules already issued and may change them or make new ones to carry out this part of the law. When managing the area, the Secretary has the same kind of authority used for national parks, but must follow the limits in this part of the law. Anyone who breaks a rule made under this part is guilty of a misdemeanor and can be fined up to $500, jailed for up to six months, or both.
