The Secretary must allow hunting and fishing on the lands and waters he manages in the Spruce Knob‑Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area, as long as people follow federal and state laws. The Secretary can also set areas or times when hunting is not allowed for safety, management, or to keep the area enjoyable for visitors. Before making those no‑hunting rules, the Secretary must consult with the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources and then issue regulations.
