Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter LXXVI— MOUNT ROGERS NATIONAL RECREATION AREA › § 460r–1
The Secretary of Agriculture must, as soon as possible after May 31, 1966, officially create the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area as part of and next to the Jefferson National Forest in Virginia. The area’s borders must match the map titled "Proposed Mount Rogers National Recreation Area," dated 1965, which is kept for public viewing in the Chief of the Forest Service’s office, and the Secretary must publish a notice in the Federal Register that includes a map of those boundaries.
