§460u–26 Units Vii–d and I–m

Summary

Before the Secretary buys land in Unit VII–D (shown on the map in section 460u), the Secretary must talk with the Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation. They must figure out what land Indiana needs for improving 15th Avenue, including the Old Hobart Road extension, and for rebuilding and moving the 15th Avenue and State Road 51 intersection so the federal purchase does not block those projects. Before the Secretary buys land in Unit I–M (shown on that map), the Secretary must talk with the same Commissioner to find what land Indiana needs for improving State Road 49 and for rebuilding and moving the interchange between State Road 49 and U.S. 20 so the purchase does not block those projects.
