§460yyy–1 Establishment of the Fort Stanton-snowy River Cave National Conservation Area

Summary

Creates the Fort Stanton‑Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area in Lincoln County, New Mexico to protect and improve the cave system’s important historic, cultural, scientific, archaeological, natural, and educational underground resources. The area follows the boundary shown on a map dated December 15, 2008. As soon as practicable after March 30, 2009, the Secretary must send Congress a map and legal description. That map and description are legally official like part of the law, and the Secretary may fix minor errors. Copies must be available for public viewing at Bureau of Land Management offices.
