Creates the Fort Stanton‑Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area in Lincoln County, New Mexico to protect and care for the cave system’s important historic, cultural, scientific, archaeological, natural, and educational underground resources. The Conservation Area is the land shown on the map dated December 15, 2008. As soon as practicable after March 30, 2009, the Secretary must send a map and legal description of the area to Congress. That map and description have the same effect as if written into the law, but the Secretary may fix small errors. Copies must be available for the public at Bureau of Land Management offices.
