Protect shoreline beauty on federal land next to boundary lakes or streams in this area, and on any lake or stream here used or likely to be used for boat or canoe travel. No logging is allowed inside 400 feet of the water’s edge unless the U.S. Forest Service decides a different distance is needed in a particular case. Healthy trees cannot be cut closer than 200 feet, except when needed for banking grounds, landings, or other logging work; diseased, insect‑infested, dying, or dead trees may be removed nearer the shore.
