Money may be spent to buy land for three purposes. First, whatever is needed to buy parcels in Sanders County, Montana, so the Forest Service has winter range for its saddle, pack, and draft animals. Second, up to $50,000 to buy land next to the Forest Products Laboratory in Madison, Wisconsin. Third, up to $25,000 to buy one helicopter landing site in southern California.
