§668c Definitions

Summary

Defines three words used in this part of the law. "Whoever" also means groups like associations, partnerships, and corporations. "Take" covers many ways of harming or capturing wildlife, such as chasing, shooting (including shooting at), poisoning, wounding, killing, capturing, trapping, collecting, or disturbing them. "Transport" means any way of moving or shipping something—carrying, conveying, or shipping by any means—and also delivering or receiving it for that movement.

As used in this subchapter “whoever” includes also associations, partnerships, and corporations; “take” includes also pursue, shoot, shoot at, poison, wound, kill, capture, trap, collect, molest or disturb; “transport” includes also ship, convey, carry, or transport by any means whatever, and deliver or receive or cause to be delivered or received for such shipment, conveyance, carriage, or transportation.
