Title 16 › Chapter 87A— MODERNIZING ACCESS TO PUBLIC LAND › § 6853
By April 29, 2026, each Secretary must, as much as reasonably possible, put digital GIS maps on their agency website showing federal interests in private land—like easements (not flowage easements), reservations, and rights‑of‑way—where the federal government does not own the land and that could provide public recreational access. They must also set up a way for the public to send questions or comments about those maps.
