Title 16 › Chapter 6— GAME AND BIRD PRESERVES; PROTECTION › § 689
Creates the Tahquitz National Game Preserve inside the San Bernardino National Forest in Riverside County, California to protect game animals and to serve as their breeding area. It covers these lands: township 3 south, range 3 east — sections 28–35; township 4 south, range 3 east — sections 1–4, 9–16, 21–28, 33–36; and township 5 south, range 3 east — sections 1–4, 9–14, and 24. Setting up the preserve must not affect any existing rights or withdrawals made before July 3, 1926. All land inside the outside boundary must first become United States property. If the government survey is not finished, the boundaries will be determined by projecting lines from the official survey.
