§689 Tahquitz National Game Preserve

Summary

The Tahquitz National Game Preserve is set up inside the San Bernardino National Forest in Riverside County, California to protect game animals and serve as their breeding area. It covers Sections 28–35 of township 3 south, range 3 east, San Bernardino meridian; Sections 1–4, 9–16, 21–28, 33–36 of township 4 south, range 3 east, San Bernardino meridian; and Sections 1–4, 9–14, and 24 of township 5 south, range 3 east, San Bernardino meridian. Its creation must not interfere with any existing rights or withdrawals made before July 3, 1926. All land inside the preserve’s outer boundary must first be owned by the United States. If the government survey is not finished, the boundaries will be set by lines projected from the official survey.
