Title 16 › Chapter 7— PROTECTION OF MIGRATORY GAME AND INSECTIVOROUS BIRDS › Subchapter IV— HUNTING AND CONSERVATION STAMP TAX › § 718a
If you are 16 years or older, you must carry a valid Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp when you take migratory waterfowl. The stamp can be an approved electronic stamp or a paper stamp you signed in ink across the front before taking the birds. No stamp is needed for federal or state agencies; for propagation; for property owners, tenants, or sharecroppers (or certain Interior agencies) killing birds that damage crops under rules; or for rural Alaska residents for subsistence. You must show the stamp to Interior or state game officers if they ask, and you do not have to attach it to any other license before taking one or more waterfowl.
