Subsection (a) was repealed by Pub. L. 96–470, title I, § 103(a), Oct. 19, 1980, 94 Stat. 2237. The Secretary can make reports to the President and Congress. If the United States International Trade Commission asks (in connection with section 1364 of title 19), or during an investigation under the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1332), or if a U.S. industry group that makes the same or a directly competing product asks, the Secretary can report to that Commission. The reports look at whether U.S. production, jobs in production, prices, or sales of the like product have fallen, and whether imports of the fishery product into the United States have increased, either in total or compared with U.S. production.
