To change the park boundary, an area of approximately 160 acres is taken out of Kings Canyon National Park. That tract lies west of the section line between sections 21 and 22 and west of the section line between sections 27 and 28 in township 13 south, range 30 east, Mount Diablo meridian. Land removed from the park on and after August 14, 1958 becomes part of Sequoia National Forest.
