Title 16 › Chapter 12C— FORT PECK PROJECT › § 833d
The Bureau must prepare price schedules for electricity made at the Fort Peck project, and those schedules only take effect after the Secretary of Energy approves them. The Bureau can change the schedules later, but any changes also need the Secretary’s approval. Rates must be set to encourage the widest and most varied use of the electricity. The schedules can also set the same rates across certain transmission areas to spread the benefits of a connected power grid and help distribute the Fort Peck power fairly.
