All money from selling power at the Fort Peck project must go into the U.S. Treasury as miscellaneous receipts, but the Treasury must set aside a $500,000 fund from those receipts for the Bureau to use for operating costs, emergency expenses, and keeping power running. Congress may approve more Treasury money as needed to carry out the law, including buying and installing equipment and building transmission and sale facilities.
