When land or land interests are set aside under sections 835d to 835h, the Secretary of the Interior must decide a fair money amount to pay the Indians. For tribal lands, that money will be moved in the U.S. Treasury from funds now or later provided for constructing the Columbia Basin project and credited to the proper tribe under section 155 of title 25. Money owed to individual landowners, heirs, or devisees will be paid from those same project funds to the superintendent of the Colville Indian Agency or another officer chosen by the Secretary, who will put the payments on the agency’s books to the individuals’ accounts.
