Title 16 › Chapter 12D— COLUMBIA BASIN PROJECT › § 835l
Future reclamation projects in the Pacific Northwest that get money from the Federal Columbia River power system must be paid only from that system’s net revenues. Their construction must be scheduled so this help, plus aid to earlier projects, does not cause Bonneville Power Administration rates to go up. Total aid to all irrigation projects must average no more than $30,000,000 per year over any 20-year period. Studies must follow the law’s required procedures. "Net revenues" = money left after repaying power costs for existing or authorized projects (including purchased power) and repaying power-to-irrigation aid authorized before September 7, 1966.
