Title 16 › Chapter 12H— PACIFIC NORTHWEST ELECTRIC POWER PLANNING AND CONSERVATION › § 839d–1
The Secretaries of the Interior and the Army may add, improve, or replace power generation at their federal projects in the Pacific Northwest (see Public Law 96–501, 16 U.S.C. 839a(14)) when each Secretary and the Bonneville Power Administrator both decide it is needed. They may accept and use funds the Administrator provides without needing new appropriation or any fiscal year limit. Those funds remain exempt from sequestration (budget cuts) under section 905(g)(1) of title 2. This does not change the Northwest Power Act. Effective October 1, 1993.
